Your Tasks

• Support for the development and maintenance of data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
• Writing, optimization, and maintenance of SQL queries in BigQuery
• Assistance in building and managing datasets within Google BigQuery
• Execution of data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation processes
• Preparation and structuring of datasets for AI/ML use cases
• Collaboration with Data Engineers and Data Scientists in: Feature preparation, Data modeling and transformation
• Contribution to documentation and the establishment of data standards
• Support for ongoing data platform and migration initiatives

Your Profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems)
• Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, window functions)
• Good knowledge of Python (data handling with pandas)
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery
  • Querying large datasets
  • Basic understanding of partitioning and performance optimization
• Understanding of data structures and data modeling basics
• Exposure to GCP (Google Cloud Platform) ecosystem
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines
• Familiarity with tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar
• Initial experience with AI/ML workflows
  • Data preparation, feature engineering
• Awareness of analytics or event-based data (e.g., tracking, CDP)
• Strong analytical and structured thinking
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently with guidance
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
