Your Tasks

  • Support developing & driving the strategy and roadmap to shape data driven decision making, implement and continuously develop the models and frameworks
  • Identify business problems and translation to mathematical models
  • Align approach and deliverables with key stakeholders and support implementation
  • Maintain a standard performance across all models and ensure quality
  • Liaise with country stakeholders for the development of new models or extensions
  • Partner with the central stakeholders to improve processes and existing systems
  • Prioritize backlog in transparent manner to achieve deployment targets
  • Create what-if scenarios to support future decision making
  • Collaborate with central teams to improve customer experiences
  • Develop easy to read interfaces for stakeholders to interact with mathematical models
  • Optimize codes to reduce runtime, data storage and handling, and improve results

Your Profile

  • Completed or to-be completed master’s degree in Operations Research or equivalent
  • Experience with Linear Programming, Meta-Heuristics, Approximation Algorithms
  • Well-versed in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C, SQL. Open for learning new languages
  • Knowledge on code profiling an advantage
  • Proven knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools as well as relational databases / SQL
  • Passion for supply chain
  • Ability to research new developments and extend knowledge
  • Fluent English spoken & written, knowledge of German and other European languages an advantage
  • Results driven with a can-do attitude
  • Detail oriented and ability to organize large amounts of work and data
  • Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, organizational ability and follow through
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Plans effectively and works well in a team or individually
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex matters to senior management

MediaMarktSaturn, a leader in the European consumer electronics market in Europe, is looking for a self-driven professional to implement optimization and simulation methods within the MediaMarktSaturn central supply chain team. 

The primary objective of the role is to provide central capabilities within the international team to identify improvements and enhance cost saving potentials for the supply chain and implement any optimization models in the digital twin environment. Topics can include routing optimization, inventory stock allocation, predictive analytics, and more.
