Your Tasks

A Product Owner (m/f/d) at MediaMarktSaturn is responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, creating and maintaining the tactical product backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery. Further responsibilities include representing the customer's voice, defining user stories, and working closely with stakeholders to align product development with business objectives.

• Product Vision: Definition and communication of the vision for data analytics products, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Backlog Management: Prioritization of the product backlog, specification of requirements, and formulation of user stories for analytics solutions
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collection of requirements and feedback from stakeholders for the refinement of data products and assurance of usability
• Team Coordination: Close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and developers for the delivery of high-value analytics solutions
• Delivery Oversight: Monitoring of progress, assurance of timely delivery, and validation of compliance with quality standards and business needs
• Requirement Translation: Understanding, capture, and translation of business requirements into technical requirements for enablement, particularly in the areas of Big Data and Analytics

Your Profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Product, Data Analytics or similar
• Advanced knowledge of data & analytics processes in a complex corporate set-up
• Several years of relevant experience with product development in a corporate set-up
• Additional benefit: Practical experience with BI and analytics tools like PowerBI, Looker 
• Tech Familiarity: Understanding of data pipelines, databases (SQL, NoSQL), cloud platforms (e.g. GCP).
• Certifications in Product Mgmt, Agile or similar, e.g. CSPO; Agile Methodology (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
• Strong ability in process thinking & design thinking 
• Data Visualization Expertise and Knowledge of Data Governance Principles
• Knowledge of Documentation Tools like JIRA, Confluence and Diagram & White Boards (like Conceptboard / Lucidsparks)
• German and English fluent
• Perseverance & Performance oriented
