Your Tasks

• Support our Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists in the development, operation, and enhancement of cloud-based data platforms using GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, Vertex AI).
• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure components (e.g., Terraform modules), establish coding and architectural standards, and promote harmonization across our product teams.
• Serve as the main contact for all infrastructure-related topics in data-driven projects and assist the teams in automation and the efficient use of Terraform.
• Establish best practices for monitoring, alerting, and security within the cloud environment to ensure stable platform operations.
• Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements and support teams in their implementation.
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Data & Analytics area at MediaMarkt Saturn.
• Harmonize and develop sustainable CICD pipelines for data processing services

Your Profile

• Several years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform, and Vertex AI.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably with Terraform.
• Strong experience in GitOps practice
• Experience building and operating scalable, reliable data platforms in the cloud.
• Expertise in monitoring, alerting (like Grafana, Prometheus), and cloud security (ideally with tools and frameworks commonly used at MMS.)
• You are a team player, able to establish and communicate standards across teams.
• Analytical thinking, initiative, and a solution-oriented working style.
• Experience with CI/CD tools in the cloud environment (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
• Experience with VPC and basic networking infrastructure
