Your Tasks
Assortment Management:
- Managing a superior customer experience and building brand loyalty starting with the right assortment decision management
- Online business knowledge and with focus on assortment building
- Assortment management combines in-depth analytics, consumer purchase preferences, assortment lifecycle planning and sizing and pre-pack optimization into a simplified workflow
- Supervising, securing lifecycle management (phase-in/phase-out), and identify new business opportunities
- Lead coordination projects between departments
- Monitoring & Reporting: Enhance transparency, develop dashboards, and align financial and commercial KPIs with country targets which are based on facts and figures
- Operational Steering: Analyze market and internal data to determine trends, define strategies, and align with stakeholders
- Leadership in developing and responsible for a 24-month business plan for product categories. Preferable knowledge in white goods
- Develop strategies to enhance the customer journey and experience, working cross-functionally and with vendors
- Collaborate with vendors for supply chain excellence and joint business reviews
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Enhance transparency and reporting capabilities
- Steering on improving KPIs and dashboards
- Align a harmonized view of financial and commercial KPIs with Media Saturn countries
Pricing & Demand management:
- Pricing & Demand Management: Support and implement pricing and demand management targets within category management
- Ideally with existing pricing knowledge to drive rollout and implementation
Operational Steering:
- Collect, aggregate, and interpret large amounts of internal and external data to determine trends within the white goods area
- Based on the foundations built by the data analysis, define a strategy and steer with key internal stakeholders
- Actively manage your area performance indicators and align with MMS countries to the overarching company goals and senior management
- Define, test and implement international standards and new frameworks of Category Management processes in collaboration with country counterparts and cross-department work on international level
- Execute implementation of group standards and international targets
- Drive internal & external communication towards colleagues as well as external partners/suppliers
- Develop and maintain a 360-degree/24-month business plan for product categories
- Design and create market and category insights with external partners and within our business to standardize the insights & reports required to create a category strategy & customer journey
- Working with vendor partners to increase turnover, availability and profit by driving Category Management principles
- Working with countries, creating a commercial calendar and governance model to ensure standardized processes are established and implemented
- Definition of Category strategic review rhythm and content
Your Profile
- Degree in economics, business administration or similar qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a category manager or similar role, preferably within the consumer electronics sector
- Extensive knowledge with market research and in business data analytics
- Excellent knowledge of category management and sales principles
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand and analyze performance, optimize plans, make quick decisions and measure impact to the business. Analysis of details where necessary
- Functional leader (m/f/d) with strong communication, inter-cultural and presentational skills
- Skilled in execution and project management
- Eagerness to learn, drive change and results oriented
- Business fluent in German and English
- Proficient in Office tools
