Assortment Management:
- Creating a superior customer experience and building brand loyalty starts with the right assortment.
- Assortment management combines in-depth analytics, consumer purchase preferences, assortment lifecycle planning and sizing and pre-pack optimization into a simplified workflow.
- The right assortment management removes the guesswork and drives higher sales and margins across all channels with localized customer insights.
- Monitor and adjust the existing clustering as necessary, identifying and addressing any potentials.
- Through assortment planning, businesses can strategically plan their inventory and manage their catalogue around changes in demand and sales volumes throughout the year to satisfy customers and maximize profitability.
- Coordinate with Countries on the lifecycle management of products across different categories / optimize phase-in/phase out management.
- Identify new opportunities for Media Saturn and develop 360° Go-to-Market approaches.
- Lead the coordination projects between the countries.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Enhance transparency and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate on improvement of KPIs and dashboards.
- Align a harmonized view of financial and commercial KPIs with Media Saturn countries.
Pricing & Demand management:
- Understanding the importance of pricing and demand management to operate accordingly.
- Support the overall targets of pricing and demand management and implement in the category management with the target to optimize cross-department Category Management processes and performances.
Operational Steering:
- Collect, aggregate, and interpret large amounts of internal and external data to determine trends within the IT areas (Gaming, Notebook, Desktop and Console).
- Based on the foundations built by the data analysis, define a strategy and align it with key internal stakeholders.
- Actively manage in your area performance indicators and align with MMS countries to the overarching company goals.
- Define, test and implement international standards and new frameworks of Category Management processes in collaboration with country counterparts and cross-department work on international level.
- Secure implementation of group standards and international targets.
- Develop and execute internal & external communication towards colleagues as well as external partners/suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a 360-degree/24-month business plan for product categories.
- Developing strategies and plans of how to enhance customer journeys and experience cross functionally and with vendors.
- Design and create market and category insights with external partners and within our business to standardize the insights & reports required to create a category strategy & customer journey
- Working with vendor partners to increase turnover, availability and profit by driving Category Management principles.
- Working with countries, creating a commercial calendar and governance model to ensure standardized processes are established and implemented
- Definition of Category strategic review rhythm and content.
Your Profile
- Degree in economics, business administration or similar qualification
- 5+ years of professional experience as a category manager or similar role, preferably within the IT consumer electronics sector
- Experience with market research and in business data analytics, preferably in the IT area.
- Excellent knowledge of category management and sales principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand and analyze performance, optimize plans, make quick decisions and measure impact to the business. Analysis of details where necessary
- Team player with strong communication, inter-cultural and presentational skills.
- Skilled in execution and project management
- Eagerness to learn, drive change and results oriented
- Business fluent in German and English
- Proficient in Office
