Your Tasks
- Design, implementation, and continuous evolution of COS REST APIs and event schemas (OpenAPI, Kong), enabling contract-first integrations and decoupling of consumers from OMS platforms
- Development and orchestration of event-driven order workflows using Kafka/Kafka Streams and Temporal (basket-to-order, payment/checkout, digital activation, fulfillment/TMS), with a focus on reliability, idempotency, and auditability
- Build-up, maintenance, and optimization of data persistence and propagation, including order data modeling in MongoDB and PostgreSQL, real-time synchronization with corporate systems, and support for analytics through Pub/Sub integration with BigQuery, ensuring high data quality and PII protection
- Operation and continuous improvement of the platform on GCP/Kubernetes using GitOps (Flux), including production monitoring and troubleshooting, performance and scalability optimization, incident management, and enhancement of SLAs, security, and platform resilience
Your Profile
- Strong experience building event-driven, distributed systems
- Proficiency in Kotlin on the JVM; solid Java skills; familiarity with Python or TypeScript is a plus
- Proven track record designing contract-first RESTful APIs with OpenAPI, including versioning, error models, and API gateway policies (e.g., Kong/Apigee)
- Practical experience with relational and noSQL DBs (like MongoDB and PostgreSQL), schema design, transactions, performance tuning in high-throughput environments
- Cloud-native operations on GCP with Kubernetes and Terraform; GitOps (Flux), CI/CD, observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and production troubleshooting
- Integration expertise using synchronous and asynchronous patterns (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, etc.) across enterprise systems
- Strong focus on reliability, security, and compliance for customer order data (SLAs, auditability, PII/GDPR), with clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
