Your Tasks
- Primary liaison role between Product teams and the Platform, ensuring seamless integration, translation of product needs into platform capabilities, and alignment of skills and capacity with business priorities
- Line management and mentorship of an engineering team, including professional development planning, regular performance reviews, and effective performance management
- Leadership of recruitment activities, including hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, in collaboration with HR/Recruiting, as well as management of third-party partnerships and talent sourcing efforts
- Technical advisory support for engineers on solution design, architectural patterns, and technical backlog prioritization, with an emphasis on adherence to platform standards and best practices
- Contribution to strategic platform direction, encompassing budgeting, resource planning, and long-term investment decisions for talent and technology
- Relationship building and cross-functional collaboration across product teams and the broader technology organization
- Creation of a psychologically safe environment that promotes open feedback, continuous learning, and team empowerment, supported by role modeling of desired behaviors
- Identification and removal of organizational and interpersonal obstacles to ensure effective and efficient team execution
Your Profile
- Proven experience in engineering leadership, preferably within a product- or platform-oriented context; bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience required
- Strong commitment to people development, with demonstrated expertise in mentoring, performance management (including IDPs and feedback processes), and high-trust team building
- Comprehensive understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, including talent identification, interviewing, and scaling of engineering teams
- Solid technical foundation with the ability to provide architectural guidance; knowledge of Full Stack technologies (e.g., Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Go) considered advantageous
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud environments, or a strong motivation for skill acquisition in this area
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration practices
- Exceptional communication ability combined with empathy and relationship-building competence to drive effective solutions
- Strategic mindset, self-motivation, and hands-on approach with a strong impact orientation
