Your Tasks
- Develop value-adding features for our customers and leverage technical expertise to create the best possible solutions following the Clean Code principles
- Embrace DevOps, taking responsibility for the team’s services from requirement analysis to operation
- Make architectural decisions with the team to ensure high performance, robustness, and maintainability of the application, especially during the transition from on-premise to the cloud
- Share knowledge with team colleagues, assist them, and contribute to the growth of the entire team
- Understand recurring support requests and implement automated solutions in the code
- Foster an open, honest, and constructive discussion culture within the team through confident yet reflective manner
Your Profile
- Holding a degree in computer science or a related field and/or possessing several years of professional experience as a backend software engineer (m/f/d)
- Having built and operated a production application for several years, ideally with leadership experience
- Demonstrating a strong passion for backend engineering, preferably in the payment or e-commerce sector
- Possessing knowledge of version control systems like Git
- Having solid knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java, along with practical experience in GitOps (Terraform, Helm, Flux) and Kubernetes
- Being familiar with cloud migrations and assisting in modularizing monolithic on-premise applications for migration to Google Cloud
- Gaining experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Operating business-critical services and monitoring them using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Kibana
- Understanding common design patterns and testing strategies, ensuring quality without compromising speed
- Acquiring extensive experience in API design and integrating microservices in a fault-tolerant and RESTful manner
- Gaining expertise in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
- Demonstrating proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud
- Possessing excellent written and spoken English language skills

Together, we are working on the biggest retailer platform for consumer electronics in Europe – be a part of it. As product E-Receipt we manage the lifecycle of all fiscal documents across Europe. We understand the critical nature of accurate and legally compliant invoicing and we are committed to delivering a product that meets these requirements seamlessly.
