Your Tasks

• Build and operate our Google Cloud / GKE platform with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitOps (Flux).
• Make deployments boring: predictable, reproducible, and safe.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and automate where it adds leverage.
• Ensure strong observability using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Think of the platform as a product: reduce friction, enable self-service, and set pragmatic standards.
• Debug production issues and focus on long-term fixes, not workarounds.
• Build small tools or automation in TypeScript/Node.js when it’s the best solution.

Your Profile

• Independent work style, strong ownership, and clear communication
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in cloud environments and understanding of real-world failure modes
• Comfort with GCP (IAM, networking, clusters) and infrastructure changes managed via Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD systems (ideally GitHub Actions) and GitOps workflows
• Strong focus on monitoring, alerting, and system debuggability
• Ability to contribute to development when needed (TypeScript/Node.js, pipelines, CLI tools)
• Understanding of modern backend architectures (e.g. NestJS, REST/GraphQL, Pub/Sub, MongoDB, Redis)
• Trade-off-oriented thinking with explicit decision-making
