As a Pricing Analyst within MediaMarkt BENELUX, you are the main point of contact for guidance and advice to the Assortment & Display Planners  & Category Buyers regarding Pricing. You provide advice and insights through analysis and simulations.


You are an expert in transforming data to actionable insight in the BENELUX and with the international teams at our German headquarters. In addition, you monitor system and tooling usage and provide structural feedback and as such are a gatekeeper for adherence to pricing strategies and tactics.


Together with the category teams you ensure MediaMarkt capitalizes on profitable growth opportunities and ensure Pricing is effectively leveraged to reach targets.


As Pricing Analyst you will report to the Head of Pricing.



Your responsibilities and duties:

  • Develop and embed overall BENELUX pricing frameworks and methodologies;
  • Ensure proper parametrization of the pricing strategies in the Pricing tooling;
  • Monitor and guard data quality on all pricing related processes, including system feed data and inputs from internal domains;
  • Support the promotional process through price analysis and flag under- or overpricing risks to ensure competitive and relevant promotional price setting;
  • Execute price analysis in support of assortment building strategies, including price entry analysis, price ladders, promotional strategies, etc;
  • Define and execute pricing strategies and tactics to speed up the sell-through of low rotating stock in cooperation with Category Management, Buying and F&R;
  • Develop and distribute similarity based/spec-based pricing data and insights across categories;
  • Support in development of pricing related projects to increase process maturity and efficiency and scope of operations.



You are: 
As pricing analyst you are a proactive and structured thinker. You are analytical, solution-oriented and unite data with business processes. You are handy with data and know how to combine data from different sources into data products that can be implemented in a scalable way in order to support business processes.

You like to take charge and are not afraid to show your leadership qualities. You don't wait, but show initiative so that not only you, but also the company grows! You can cut through knots where necessary. It is easy for you to take decisions.  


What you have to offer:

  • You’ve acquired a relevant degree in econometrics or other education with a clear beta component;
  • Minimum of 2-4 years relevant work experience, ideally in a retail environment;
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel required;
  • Experience with SQL, R and/or Python (basic knowledge);
  • Experience with Price FX is a plus;
  • Excellent language skills: Dutch & English. French is a plus.
