About the Traineeship

MediaMarkt Benelux is looking for an International Management Trainee starting in April 2025.  Embark on an 18-month professional adventure that will shape your career and contribute to our global success. Here’s what you can expect:

Local Projects: You will lead local projects in specialized departments such as Commercial, Services & Solutions, Marketing, or Finance & Controlling. This hands-on experience will allow you to dive deep into your chosen field and make meaningful contributions from day one.

Global Collaboration: Get ready to collaborate on groundbreaking global projects with talented people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work closely with colleagues from other countries, bring new perspectives to the table, and make a real impact at a global level. You’ll even have the chance to present your work to our board members.

International Work Assignment: Expand your horizons with two 6-month work assignments in other countries. This comprehensive experience will give you valuable insights into different markets, cultures, and business practices. Your Profile

To be successful in this role, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: You should have either a university degree (up to 2 years after graduation) or be in your final year of studies, specializing in fields like Management, Finance, or Accounting
• Location: Living in The Netherlands holding a valid working/student permit / visa
• Language Skills: English proficiency at a C1 level is required to ensure effective communication between international teams.
• International Engagement: Ideally, you already have experience in an international work environment, combined with strong intercultural communication skills.
• Interest in Retail and Technology: A genuine interest in the retail and consumer electronics industry with an open-minded approach.
• Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and a true team spirit.
• Goal-Oriented: Determination in achieving goals, combined with problem-solving skills and the ability to act quickly and decisively in challenging situations.
• Autonomy and Time Management: Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure while demonstrating analytical and critical thinking.
• Willingness to Relocate: A strong willingness to travel both nationally and internationally, including completing two six-month internships abroad.
